Ethiopian private businesses, as part of a delegation led by Ministry of Trade and Industry State Minister Misganu Arega, are participating in this year’s Dubai Gulf Food Trade Fair. The fair is the first in person global food and beverage event being held since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is the 26th time the annual event is being held and there are 79 private businesses from Ethiopia showcasing their agricultural and processed agricultural products; a significant increase from previous years.

There are more than 2,500 international brands, from 25 countries, participating in the fair. 

Gulf Food Trade Fair is an international platform where exhibitors seek market opportunities in the Middle East, particularly in the United Arab Emirates. Previous versions of the event have seen more than 85 million USD in trade deals in a single session. 

THis year’s event has seen prominent figures from organizations like DHL, Emirates Sky Cargo, Microsoft, Pizza Hut, PepsiCo., world renowned chefs and others in attendance.
