Hirut Kassaw, the Minister for Culture and Tourism, has won the ‘Most Energetic and Passionate African Tourism Leader’ award in the ‘Women in African Tourism 2019’ category of the Street of Gold Foundation Awards.
Street of Gold Foundation is based in Ghana and identifies its primary mission as the facilitation of cultural exchange across Africa including the provision of student exchange and volunteering programs.
The minister is going to receive the award on December 12th at a ceremony in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa.
The award is the second that the minister is going to receive this year. The first award was the ‘Best Tourism Minister’ award from the Pacific Travel Writers Association at a ceremony held at the International Tourism Bourse located in Berlin (Germany).
