On April 26, 2023, the Skylight Hotel will host the InvestEthiopia 2023 summit. The Ethiopian Investment Commission held a press conference to discuss the event. D/Commissioner Temesgen Tilahun briefed local and international media outlets on the forum’s goals and anticipated results. Over 600 new foreign investors are expected to attend the forum, which the EIC is prepared to host.

Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC), an independent government agency, was set up in 1992 to encourage private investment, particularly foreign direct investment. The EIC recently underwent a restructuring in an effort to improve investor services and be more successful at luring FDI.

The goal of the “InvestEthiopia 2023” forum is to promote Ethiopia’s extensive investment prospects to the international world.

According to Temesgen Tilahun, deputy commissioner at the EIC, who briefed the media today, the event would draw more than 600 new foreign direct investors and might result in more than $3 billion in investments in Ethiopia over the next years.

In order to explore and uncover investment prospects in Ethiopia, the forum will bring together investors, business executives, decision-makers, and entrepreneurs from all over the world.

It was mentioned that the event will also give participants a chance to learn about Ethiopia’s business environment, investment prospects, and government policies designed to encourage investment and economic progress.

With an emphasis on industries like manufacturing, agriculture, energy, ICT, healthcare, transport and logistics, tourism, and other rising areas, “Invest Ethiopia 2023” will present some of the most exciting investment opportunities in Ethiopia.

With its young, active, and continuously expanding population, wealth of natural resources, and advantageous location at the crossroads of Africa and the Middle East, Ethiopia is a country with immense investment potential.
