Ethiopian Electric Power reports that it brought in more than ETB 15 billion in revenues during the last fiscal year. 

The organisation fell short of the ETB 18.21 billion it aimed to bring in but exceeded the previous year’s revenues by ETB 4.38 billion. However, Ethiopian Electric Power was able to vastly fulfill its accessibility, infrastructure, and digitisation plan for year.

The organisation also reported that it was able to expand electricity access to 380, 541 customers across the country.

Electric line expansion was also massively undertaken with 4320.06 kms of medium-voltage and 3,465.3 kms of low-voltage lines being laid. 946 distribution transformers were also planted.

Additionally, the organisation was able to purchase meter testing equipment worth more than USD 500,000 with USD 297,120 financed from Power Africa.
